Andy Samberg opened the 67th annual Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles where TV stars nearly melted on their walk into the Microsoft Theater.
Allison Janney brought home the first winner of the night for Outstanding Supporting Actress.
"VEEP" won the next two awards for Outstanding Comedy Writing and Supporting Actor for Tony Hale. The success for "VEEP" continued when Julia Louis-Dreyfus won her fourth Emmy for her role as Selina Meyer. They finished the night winning Outstanding Comedy Series.
"Game of Thrones" picked up four wins with Oustanding Drama Series, Writing, Directing and Supporting Actor for Peter Dinklage.
"Transparent" picked up their first win of the night with Outstanding Directing for Jill Soloway followed by Jeffrey Tambor for Lead Actor.
"Olive Kittredge" cleaned up with six wins for Outstanding Mini-Series, Writing, Directing and actors Frances McDormand, Richard Jenkins and Bill Murray.
"The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" went out on a high note winning three awards for Outstanding Variety Talk Show, Writing and Directing.
They joined early recipients Margo Martindale, Bradley Whitford, Joan Cusack and Reg E. Cathey who won last week for Outstanding Guest Stars.
