'Ghostbusters': Annie Potts To Make Cameo Appearance In Reboot

Joining the surviving cast of the original 1984 film, Annie Potts will be featured in Paul Feig's "Ghostbusters" reboot in a cameo role as a hotel receptionist. Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson are all set to make an appearance in the upcoming movie but will not reprise their roles from the original, according to Den of Geek.

Potts played receptionist Janine Melnitz in 1984's "Ghostbusters." Paul Feig's remake has wrapped up production and features an all-female lead including Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones, who will be joined by co-stars Chris Hemsworth, Andy Garcia, Michael K Williams and Neil Casey.

Hudson's appearance in the film was confirmed over the weekend after he was spotted on the movie set on the last day of filming. Feig confirmed Hudson's role in the movie in a tweet he posted on Sunday, as HNGN previously reported.

Sony's "Ghostbusters" is slated to hit theaters on July 22, 2016.
