I’m not going to lie, I almost shed a tear when I saw Cote de Pablo’s name and face appear in the opening credits for the second-to-last time in last night’s season premiere. However, that was the last time fans would see her face for the entire episode. According to HollywoodLife.com, fans weren’t to happy about it.
After word of de Pablo’s departure came out and the talk of Ziva’s final episodes began, it was announced that Ziva’s Farewell would consist of the first two episodes of Season 11. Therefore, many fans were surprised when the final credits of the season premiere hit the screen and they hadn’t seen Special Agent David since the opening credits.
Fans took to Twitter to voice their displeasure.
@mezjennifer tweeted:
LETS TALK ABOUT “YOULL HAVE TWO EPISODES TO SY GOODBYE TO ZIVA” AND HOW SHE WASNT EVEN /IN/ LAST NIGHTS EPISODE.
@LostDeeJay tweeted:
A Ziva-less and a Tiva-less #NCIS simply will not do.
The series premiere was entitled “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot” and Twitter user @yuntingchen though the name epitomized Ziva’s asbsence.
That really a WTF #NCIS episode. Ended that Ziva didn’t show up for even one second?!
Apparently we’re going to have to wait until Tuesday to see Ziva for the last time and I think @ncis_tiva_ echoes the sentiments of many “NCIS” fans:
THIS IS NOT OKAY THERE WAS NO ZIVA IN THE WIRST EPISODE AND THEY KISS IN THE NEXT ONE! THEY FREAKING KISS!!! KISS!!!
This tweeter has a point. Tony (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva are going to have to magically get their closure in about 45 minutes. Nevertheless, at least their tension that lasted nearly a decade finally gets sorted out.
Cote de Pablo’s final episode airs next Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 8/7c on CBS.
