Jenelle Evans and her mother Barbara have been involved in a lengthy custody battle over Jenelle's 5-year-old son Jace. But even as season six comes to a close, the mother-daughter duo still can't agree on a custody agreement for Jace and continue to argue in a sneak peek for the upcoming season finale of MTV's "Teen Mom 2," Us Weekly reported.
The conversation between Jenelle and her mother starts off civil, and Jenelle says that she was happy that she and her mother worked things out between them so that she could attend his kindergarten graduation. But it's when the subject changed to custody that two starts to bicker, because they still don't see eye-to-eye on who should have full custody of Jace.
"I just think that we have to come to some sort of agreement or something or talk to the lawyers and tell them we just wanna hold off about this court thing," Barbara tells Jenelle.
Jenelle expresses uncertainty about how they would come to an agreement, especially since mediation didn't work for them in a previous episode. Jenelle has said in the past that she thinks the reason why Barbara keeps Jace from her is because she likes to control Jenelle.
"You always think that I don't ever wanna give you Jace, it's not that," Barbara explains. "I just want what's best for him right now, and your life is like, you don't have a plan yet, you're not settled."
Barbara blams Jenelle's ex-fiancé Nathan Griffith for their current legal battle and says that he's the one who pushed Jenelle to take the case to court.
"We've always had an agreement between the both of us that one day Jace will transition," Barbara says, "but you know and I know Nathan really pushed this upon us about the court thing."
