Franklin Park Mall Shooting Leaves One Injured, Investigation Underway (BREAKING)

Toledo police report that a shooting took place outside Franklin Park Mall in Ohio Friday afternoon, leaving one person injured.

The shooting occurred outside the GNC store at around 1 p.m., the report says, according to ABC's Ohio associate ABC 13.

The victim was apparently being dropped off when the shooting broke out, reported Toledo News Now. A witness at the scene of the crime said a fight broke out between two unknown parties near the GNC, and at some point, the fight escalated and became violent.

The witness said shots were then fired, with people running around in terror screaming, "they're shooting, they're shooting."

Following the incident, the shooter ran off and is described as black, 18 years old, 6 feet tall, with a thin build, black T-shirt, and camouflage pants, according to the Toledo Blade.

The victim was taken to Mercy St. Anne's Hospital for non life-threatening injuries.

The mall is not on lockdown. But nearby schools, Christ the King and Notre Dame Academy have issued precautionary lockdowns.
