The wildly popular "anti-amusement park" Dismaland is ready to close after a successful five-week run, selling out of tickets each and every week, according to The Telegraph.
Dismalad is part theme park, part art exhibit and part satire, as more than 150,000 people flocked to the drab town of Weston-Super-Mare.
Banksy, the world famous street artist and mastermind of the exhibit, called it a festival of art with a little anarchism in between, Metro reported.
"It's modeled on those failed Christmas parks that pop up every December, where they stick some antlers on an Alaskan dog and spray fake snow," said the artist. "It's ambitious, but it's also crap. I think there's something very poetic and British about all that."
The park opened on Aug. 22, and officials believe millions were made during the run.
Celebrities were thought to be among the art festival patrons, with reports of Jude Law and Matt Damon visiting just before it was set to close, according to the Bristol Post.
The theme park is Banksy's first show since 2009 and featured work from 60 other artists as well, as previously reported by HNGN. Performances by Pussy Riot, De La Soul, DJ Premier and Damon Albarn were also among the attractions.
The festival closes on Sept. 27.
