Nashville returned with an arrested Deacon (Charles Esten), an incapacitated Rayna (Connie Britton), a panicking Juliette (Haydene Panettiere), a distraught Gunnar (Sam Palladio), and a worried Scarlett (Claire Bowen). As of right now, it seems it could be a long Season 2 for everybody. So, here are my questions heading into episode 2:
--What’s next Deacon?
Mr. Claiborne started the season in an orange jumpsuit and sling. He was planning to cop to involuntary manslaughter and punish himself for Rayna’s injury. However, when she woke up she told everyone he wasn’t driving and Deacon was set free. Rayna’s not dead, but will Deacon continue to blame himself?
--Where is Juliette and Scarlett’s relationship going?
It seems Juliette still cares about Deacon enough to put her name on the line by bailing out a man who a lot of people don’t like. She also did it upon the request of Scarlett. Is there a friendship brewing there? Juliet could definitely use some real friends.
--Gunnar, Avery (Jonathan Jackson), or neither?
Scarlett currently has two men pining for her affection and as of right now it doesn’t really look like she’s interested in either of them. Who will she choose? (Are you team Gunnar or team Avery?)
--What will become of Deacon and Rayna?
Will they ever be able to get past this and be together? If so, there’s a long road ahead.
“Nashville” airs Wednesdays, 10/9c on ABC.
