Oregon medical marijuana dispensaries are now preparing for the flock of marijuana-loving customers that may come in droves at their respective local pot shops.
The Oregon Health Authority has been informed by more than 200 out of 345 medical marijuana dispensaries in the state of their strategies to sell recreational marijuana beginning this Thursday, according to the Lewis Tribune Online.
However, Jonathan Modie, the spokesperson for the Oregon Health Authority, said that those medical marijuana dispensaries that are still in the midst of the application process and have yet to get approval may not be granted permission to medical marijuana.
Measure 91 was first passed in November. The law legalizes the possession and the production of marijuana in limited amounts for personal use, which began on July 1, according to Morning News USA.
Meanwhile, a building at 600 County Road Club will have an upgrade that is worth $27 million to build a new clinic for the Oregon Medical Group, which consists of doctors who specialize in various medical fields.
The new building, which is slated to open in April 2017, will store a high-tech imaging center, as well as physical therapy, endocrinology, podiatry, sports medicine, orthopedics, internal medicine providers and a walk-in clinic, according to the Register Guard.
