You would think that Jessa Duggar would be having a difficult time ever since her brother Josh's molestation scandal was made public, especially since she was one of the five underage girls he had molested, but she's one strong girl.
"Some people may have thought Jessa was wounded by the negative headlines, so it's exciting to be able to show people that she is happier than ever and holding her head high," a source told People. "Jessa is truly feeling so happy, healthy and centered. This is really one of the best times of her life."
She and her husband Ben Seewald, who she knows is her soul mate, got married on Nov. 1, 2014 and are expecting their first child in just a few months. While they prepare to welcome the baby, TLC, who used to run the Duggar family's hit series "19 Kids and Counting" before it got cancelled, has decided to air a special on their life as newlyweds and new parents.
"We're going to be doing some filming preparing to welcome this little one into our lives," Jessa, 22, told Entertainment Tonight of the new show. "It's gonna be great."
While Josh's scandal was hard on the family, it has taught them some amazing life lessons. "If there is any silver lining to the scandals," the source continued to tell People. "It's that it only reinforced the strength Jessa has in her marriage, her family and, most of all, her faith."
TLC will also be running a special on her older sister Jill, who was also a victim of Josh's molestation scandal, and her husband Derick Dillard as they raise their son Israel while they travel abroad to complete a Christian Mission.
"We know that our audience is really excited about what's been going on with Jill and Jessa as they move into young adulthood," TLC Executive Vice President and General Manager Nancy Daniels told the Associated Press last week. "Now they're both at the precipice of big changes. With what was happening in their lives in the next few months, it felt like now is the time [for the specials], and we got going pretty quickly."
The Duggars announced the exciting news about the new shows on their official Facebook page earlier this month, letting their fans know that it will air sometime this fall.
