"The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" house band The Roots once again broke out their parody Simon & Garfunkel last night. Questlove and Captain Kirk Douglas, otherwise known as Black Simon and Garfunkel, were joined by the real Art Garfunkel for a slowed down folked out version of "Can't Feel My Face" by The Weeknd.
"Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon first introduced Black Simon and Garfunkel, who nailed their impression of Garfunkel and his former writing partner, Paul Simon, and after the first verse of The Weeknd's smash hit, they two looked to their side and there was the real Garfunkel. The music icon then joined them for the rest of the song before the three harmonized on the Simon & Garfunkel song "The Boxer." Questlove and Douglas had their impressions of the legendary musician's completely down from their black turtlenecks to their straight forward stares.
The Roots have often been used in segments on Jimmy Fallon's "Tonight Show," including "Freestylin' with The Roots" and "Classroom Instruments."
Black Simon and Garfunkel previously covered versions of "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk and "Thrift Shop" by Ryan Lewis and Macklemore.
