A Hawaiian woman who was accused of vaping on an Allegiant Air flight Thursday blamed a flight attendant she swore at for "having a bad day." Kristin Sharp, who works as a Realtor, confessed to smoking an e-cigarette on the flight to Honolulu from Las Vegas, according to the New York Daily News. However, she refuted fellow passengers' accounts that she flashed her breast while she was intoxicated and threw a soda can at one of the crew members, saying she only tried to throw it into the trash can.
"So I'm apologizing that it did happen, but it did not need to get carried to the level that it did. I think he had a bad day and was taking it out on me with a bad attitude," said Sharp in an interview with Hawaii News Now.
"I was just not happy with being treated poorly," she added, claiming that the flight attendant was "very rude" to her and that there was "a lack of manners and etiquette" on his part.
Meanwhile, Allegiant Air released a statement that said, due to the ongoing investigation, it declined to comment on the event.
Moreover, it referenced the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, which states that smoking e-cigarettes while onboard an aircraft is prohibited and that passengers must obey instructions provided by flight crew members to guarantee the safety of all onboard, according to News.com.au.
