ABC and Marvel have their next project lined up and they're sticking with the non-superhero teams. The network is developing a single-camera comedy based on the Marvel Comics books, "Damage Control."
ABC gave the live-action comedy a put pilot commitment, according to Deadline. "Damage Control" follows the construction company that repairs all the destruction left in the wake of Marvel's superheroes.
Ben Karlin, the former executive producer of "The Daily Show" and "The Colbert Report," is developing the series and will write the pilot script. He'll also serve as an executive producer alongside David Miner and Head of Marvel TV Jeph Loeb.
Marvel has featured the Damage Control company frequently but in minor roles in most of their titles. The group did play an important role in the "Civil War" series, but it's not known whether new show would follow the same route and connect with the upcoming "Captain America: Civil War" movie.
"Damage Control" would join Marvel series "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." and "Agent Carter" on ABC. The network has also ordered a pilot called "Marvel's Most Wanted" that would focus on "S.H.I.E.L.D." characters Bobbi Morse (Adrianne Palicki) and Lance Hunter (Nick Blood), but isn't considered a spinoff series.
