A volunteer found missing toddler, Rainn Peterson, of Trumbull County alive, curled up in the tall grass off the Peck Leach Route, off SR 45, near North Bloomfield, Ohio where the toddler's family lives. She has been taken to St. Joseph Hospital, Trumbull County Sheriff Tom Altiere announced.
The toddler was "as fine as can be expected," Altiere added, according to 3WKYC. He also added that there is foul play indicated in the disappearance of the toddler.
The volunteer called 911 and told the dispatcher that he found the toddler lying and sleeping in some tall grass. "I found baby Rainn and she's alive!" the unidentified volunteer first announced to the dispatcher, Fox News reported.
"Is that her I hear?" the dispatcher asks after he heard the toddler crying in the background. "I hear her. Oh, I just got goosebumps."
"Oh my God, me too," the volunteer added. "I couldn't give up on this kid. Thank God."
Rainn was last seen in her grandparent's home in State Route 45 in North Bloomfield on Friday evening past 6 p.m. in the evening. She was last seen wearing a purple shirt, gray pants and shoes with a combination of a pink and green color.
Several agencies took part in the search for the toddler such as the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), the Trumbull County Sheriff's office, the Marshall's office, even the FBI and people from Center for Missing and Exploited Children, according to Fox 8 Cleveland.
