One of the major head scratching/surprising moments from the “Revenge” season premiere was Aiden’s (Barry Sloane) appearance at Victoria’s (Madeleine Stowe) house and his admission that he wants to help her take down Emily/Amanda (Emily VanCamp). This provides a lot of questions about what’s going to happen between them. Is he still trying to help Emily? Did he really turn against his former love? How is the Victoria/Aiden partnership going to work?
Well, if one of your questions has to do with a possible love interest between the two, the answer—according to showrunner Sunil Nayar’s interview with TV Line—is, “not exactly.”
“She really wants him to prove his fidelity,” he says, “because what a great ally he would be. They’re both trying to feel each other out. It’s fun to watch two people start to dance when neither one knows who’s leading and neither one trusts their partner.”
Nayar also recently told the website that this partnership between Aiden and Victoria is definitely happening.
“He will state at the beginning of Episode 2 exactly what his opinions are about Emily, and you will see what he’s planning to do,” continues Nayar.
If it turns out that Aiden is truly trying to take down Emily with the help of Victoria, our favorite “revengist” is going to have her hands full. She’ll have to take down the Graysons while staving off attacks from a former partner. And let’s not forget, she’s on a deadline courtesy of Jack (Nick Wechsler). Good luck, Ms. Thorne.
“Revenge” airs Sundays, 9/8c on ABC.
