Marvel Studios just expanded its Phase 3 movie slate, adding four more premiere dates including a sequel for its 2015 summer blockbuster, "Ant-Man."
Scott Lang and his Ant-Man alter ego will return to the big screen on July 6, 2018 and partner up with Hope Van Dyne as the Wasp. The sequel titled "Ant-Man and the Wasp" is the first Marvel Studios film named after the heroine.
The addition of a second "Ant-Man" will shift a few Phase 3 premieres. "Black Panther," originally slated for July 6, 2018, will move up to Feb. 16, 2018. "Captain Marvel" will push back its premiere to March 8, 2019 from Nov. 2, 2018.
Marvel also announced three premiere dates for films yet untitled. The new movies will all hit theaters in 2020 on May 1, July 10 and Nov. 6. That will keep the studio premiering at least three movies per year between 2017 and 2020.
