Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck were one of the several major celebrity divorces of the summer of 2015. After ten years of marriage and three children together, it's finally time for the A-List couple to sell the home they share, and the price won't come cheap.
It looks like their massive three-acre Los Angeles mansion will be going up for around $45 million, according to Variety. The couple quietly seeked the help of one of L.A.'s top real estate agents to handle the sale, and apparently, some major names have already started looking to buy it. Media scion Lachlan Murdock, who is the new co-chairman of News Corp. and executive chairman of 21st Century Fox, went to look at the home but didn't end up making an offer.
The 8,800-square-foot home has five bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a basketball court, a pool and a large guest home, which include more bedrooms, bathrooms, a gym, an art studio, a major entertainment longue and state-of-the art screening room. Affleck, 43, and Garner, 43, bought the home back in 2009 for just $17.55 million, according to the New York Daily News. It has been rumored that Affleck, who had an apparent affair with the nanny, has been staying in the guest home since they announced their split back in June so he can still help care for the children. Some people believe that he is still involved in a relationship with the nanny, but they have not made any official announcements.
While the divorce was terribly sad for their fans, as they seemed like one of the few celebrity couples who could have actually lasted, some of the people who know them well think the split is for the best. Affleck's best friend, actor Matt Damon, in particular doesn't want them to get back together. "Matt believes Ben's marriage was in shambles way before the nanny," an insider told OK! Magazine. "There was too much anger there." The source added that Damon also thinks that if Garner "had just loosened up a bit, things could have been different."
