England and Pakistan will play the first Test match of the three-match series at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.

England's fast bowler Steven Finn has been ruled out of the first match. He suffered a stress injury in his left foot during the practice session on Monday.

"It's a bitter blow for him; he's had a huge 12 months. Hopefully he'll be right for the second Test," skipper Alistair Cook said on Finn's injury, according to BBC Sports.

"After the warm-up game, he complained of a pain in his foot. Yesterday he bowled pretty well in the nets, and got through. But obviously it's got worse," he added.

Pakistan's leg-spinner Yasir Shah and batsman Azhar Ali are likely to miss the series opening due to injuries. Skipper Misbah Ul-haq admitted Shah's injury was a matter of concern for his side.

"It would be a big loss if he is out. We just have to hope for the best," he said, according to Express.

Misbah also admitted that England is looking better prepared as compared to his team. "I think they will be more prepared this time, they know what mistakes they did the last time they were here. So we have to be more focused and we need to really improve on our performances, we cannot just take it easy because we have beaten them 3-0," he said, according to Gulf Today.
