“Scandal” is back tonight and gladiators all across the country are getting ready to find out what’s become of Olivia Pope since we last saw her. For those of you who don’t remember we left Olivia last season with her affair exposed, the press in her face and her dad revealed to be the mysterious man that seems to have some serious influence in D.C. There has been a lot of scoop on what fans can expect this season but here are just a few things to look forward to:
No. 1—Meet Mellie the Fixer
Bellamy Young recently told TVLine in an interview that this season, her character Mellie and Olivia (Kerry Washington) will switch roles. “She is no longer the fixer. She is like the client,” Young said referring to Olivia. “Mellie is the fixer in her own mind. We’re looking at a reelection campaign, so I’ve got to handle it because we need four more years.” Young added that Mellie's plan will fail miserably.
No. 2—The Gladiators Get a “Friend”
Deadline reported this summer that “Friends” star Lisa Kudrow is coming to Season 3 in a recurring role as a politician. Unfortunately, show creator Shonda Rhimes didn’t release any more information, as she is known to keep things hush-hush.
No. 3—Cyrus Will Be Taken
Cyrus (Jeff Perry) is going to learn some pretty sensitive information this season and it will put him in a place that no one wants to be, literally. "Somewhere in the first couple episodes, Cyrus is transported to a very ominous location for a very ominous meeting in a trunk of a car," said Perry, according to TVGuide.com.
“Scandal” returns tonight at 10/9c* on ABC.
