Migrants trying to illegally enter Britain rode at the back of a truck were faced with another being trying to find itself a new home. A polar bear riding in the same truck was traveling from Russia and was hoping to eventually get into Yorkshire.
The migrants, mostly young men, tried to break into the truck but did not expect to find a polar bear inside, according to the Daily Mail. Three out of the four men took the challenge and went into the back of the truck anyway, but they were eventually seized by the French authorities once they were discovered to be hiding there.
Nissan, the 22-month-old the polar bear, on the other hand, continues his 10-month travel from the Izhevsk Zoo in Russia. The bear was then transferred to Moscow Zoo and then flew to Frankfurt, Germany to continue his journey to England. He finally set foot in his final destination at Yorkshire Wildlife Park together with other members of the Project Polar exhibit, 16-year-old Victor and 2-year-old Pixel.
"We are happy now that we have Nissan here in great shape," said Simon Marsh, animal manager for Yorkshire Wildlife Park, CNN reported. "I'm sure visitors will fall in love with him once he settles in and is ready to be out in the reserves and be seen by visitors."

The three migrants who went into the truck were observed by park personnel guarding the truck from behind. They eventually alerted the truck driver and police upon seeing the migrants enter the truck.
"They must have had the surprise of their lives. It shows how desperate they are to get to Britain," one witness said, according to The Telegraph.
