The first Test, played in Abu Dhabi last week, was drawn dramatically as umpires called off the series opener due to bad light on Day 5.

England fell 25 runs short of an easy win in the first Test as the match was called off, according to AFP. Leg-spinner Adil Rashid's five wicket haul and skipper Alistair Cook's epic double century took England very close to a victory.

The English team is confident of winning the second match. "I think they are a bit more aware. They know we are here for the challenge, and have a good chance of winning the series," said England's opener Moeen Ali in a pre-match news briefing, according to the Daily Mirror.

"It's given us a lot of confidence and probably given Pakistan a bit of a nudge as well that we are here to be serious," said the 28-year-old all rounder. Ali shared a century stand with Cook in the Abu Dhabi Test.

Pakistan's star spinner Yasir Shah is back in Test squad and will play during the second Test. Skipper Misbah-ul-Haq said Shah's return is good for his team.

"[Shah] is back and that's a good sign for us. We missed him a lot in the first Test and his return will give us that boost in the spin bowling," said Misbah, according to BBC Sports. Offspinner Bilal Asif is also likely to join the team after missing the series opener.
