Dallas Cowboys NEWS: Randy Gregory 'Excited' To Return Against New York Giants

Dallas Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory is "excited" to return to the field Sunday against the New York Giants, according to The Dallas Morning News.

Gregory said that he feels a 100 percent healthy physically but feels he still needs time mentally to prepare. "Mentally I think I'm still trying to get past that point that I can trust it enough to play on it," he explained.

The rookie defensive end suffered a high-ankle sprain back in week one against the Giants, and it looks like he will return against them this Sunday. "If I come out a little rusty, that's kind of expected in some ways," Gregory said. "But I definitely fully expect to come out there and pick up where I left off."

Gregory was a second-round draft pick by the Cowboys this offseason, and defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli will look to get him involved against the Giants. The Cowboys defensive line looks stacked with the return of Gregory. The Cowboys just welcomed back defensive end Greg Hardy after he served a four game suspension. The team struggled in Hardy's first game back, as they lost 30-6 to the New England Patriots, but Hardy recorded two sacks.

The return of Gregory, plus the addition of Hardy, could create havoc for Giants quarterback Eli Manning. Manning was sacked three times against the Philadelphia Eagles Monday night, and Gregory and Hardy will look to go after Manning this Sunday.
