If you enjoyed the storyline in the first season of “Beauty and the Beast”, get ready for a broader—and better—one in Season2.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kristin Kreuk (Cat Chandler), said new showrunner Brad Kern along with executive producers Jenn Levin and Sherri Cooper are going to carry the show in a different direction.
“A lot of the procedural [stuff] that we did at the beginning of season 1 is all gone, and it’s just going to be a really rich, mythology-based show this season,” Kreuk told the magazine, “Which I’m really looking forward to.”
In addition to the twists and turns coming in Season 2 there is going to be a new love story—Vince (Jay Ryan) and Cat’s. Since Vince was captured and has lost him memory, he doesn’t remember Cat. This means if you enjoyed watching VinCat fall in love in Season 1, you’re going to get to relive it (sort of ) in the show’s sophomore season.
“It’s interesting to allow them to fall in love all over again,” Ryan recently told TVLine
While Vince’s love for Kat may not be immediately strong upon his return, his physical strength has more than improved.
“He’s a lot sharper, physically and mentally, and more in control of this beast,” said Ryan adds. However, he also says Vince is being controlled by Agent Reynolds—a.k.a. Cat’s dad—who has a plan for his daughter’s boyfriend. .
“Beauty and the Beast” airs Mondays at 9/8c on The CW.
