Adam Levine might be showing off his moves like Jagger during the Super Bowl 50 halftime show. "The Voice" coach and his rock band Maroon 5 are reportedly "in talks" to perform during the sports event in February 2016.
"Levine and his band, Maroon 5, have had extensive talks about performing during halftime of Super Bowl 50 in 2016," E! News exclusively reported.
Other acts that have been thought of for the gig are British rock group Coldplay and pop crooner Bruno Mars, sources told E! News. But Maroon 5 is currently the top choice for the job.
Past Super Bowl halftime performers include Beyoncé, Bruno Mars and Katy Perry, with Perry's 2015 performance earning the highest viewership for the halftime show, according to Billboard. The pop star brought in 121 million viewers, with Mars' 2014 performance trailing just behind her at 115 million viewers.
Mars was reportedly asked to perform again during the 2016 event, as previously reported by HNGN. He was also asked to curate the event, which means Mars will have creative control over which acts he would like to join him as guests.
Levine is currently filming season nine of the singing competition TV series "The Voice" and has yet to confirm or deny the news, Vulture reported.
Super Bowl 50 will take place on Feb. 7, 2016 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. and will be broadcast live on CBS.
