We know Klaus is Marcel’s arch enemy—but is he also his wingman?
In a clip of Episode 2 (which can be seen here) posted on The CW’s website, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) are talking at a diner when Cami (Leah Pipes) walks by their table heading for the door. Klaus stop’s her and decides to use some of that charm that seems to slay the ladies (when he’s not busy slaying other supernatural beasts.)
After seeing books in her hands, Klaus asks what she’s studying to which she replies, “Abnormal Psychology.” (Sounds like loads of fun.)
Klaus asks Cami to use some of her expertise to analyze Marcel because he’s facisnated with a certain girl and thinks “she’s a queen fit for a king.” The original hybrid is obviously referring to Cami who seems to know as much. She looks at Marcel and says, “Be a nice guy and maybe the opportunity will present itself someday.”
There may eventually be a love triangle between Marcel, Cami and Klaus. For now, Klaus and Cami’s relationship won’t necessarily be romantic.
“I think it’s far more interesting to play just a human connection, ’cause he doesn’t really have a lot of friends,” executive producer Michael Narducci explained in an interview with TV Line. “Klaus is someone who either kills you or manipulates you. Cami is someone who is educated enough that he might take a pause and just be curious to get to know her. Her history with New Orleans and her education are going to make her someone very interesting for Klaus to interact with.”
“The Originals” airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on The CW.
