Khloé Kardashian Bashed For People Interview, Defends Herself Via Twitter (TWEETS)

Khloé Kardashian has come under fire for her recently published cover story in People magazine, reported Us Weekly. Fans accused the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star of capitalizing on her husband Lamar Odom's recent hospitalization by giving an interview to the magazine just two weeks after he was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel. She defended herself in a series of tweets.

"I want to make this VERY clear.... My people cover, I shot and interviewed for PRIOR to all the events that happened," Kardashian wrote on Twitter. "It was contracted press for my book that I wrote months and months ago. Timing is what it is. Shame on you all for thinking the worst of me. It's been a tough few weeks. I don't need your f--ked up energy!

"Know the facts before you throw stones," she continued. "I had to do a follow up 5 minute phoner after the events only because I was contracted to. I cancelled my book tour to avoid this attention."

In the cover story, Kardashian explained the reason why she and Odom called off their divorce, as previously reported by HNGN. She said she decided to hold off because of Odom's fragile state, as he is still recovering and dealing with complications from a 72-hour coma, the result of a drug-fueled stay at Dennis Hof's Love Ranch earlier this month.

"There is a very long road ahead of him, and he has to walk that road by himself," she told People. "But I'll be there supporting him every step of the way...It's not anything sexual or intimate. I want to be his support system."
