As we get close to January and the Season 2 premiere of “The Following”, the cast continues to grow. The latest addition is Leslie Bibb, according to TVGuide.com.
The website reports Bibb will play a housewife who lives in the suburbs named Jana Murphy. There is no indication of how many episodes in which she’ll be on the show.
Jana will be eventually become acquainted with Joe Carroll (James Purefoy). However, it has not been confirmed whether or not she’ll be someone he has chosen to terrorize or a Joe Carroll follower/supporter.
The many others who have joined "The Following" include:
Jessica Stroup as NYPD Officer Max Hardy, Ryan Hardy’s (Kevin Bacon) niece
Tiffany Boone as Mandy
James McDaniel as Agent Ken Phillips
Sam Underwood as Luke
Valerie Cruz as Detective Gina Mendez of the NYPD
Carrie Preston as a Joe Carroll groupie

Show creator Kevin Williamson told TVLine founder Michael Ausiello during Comic Con that this season’s story is going to be slightly different. Last season was primarily (or closer to solely) spent looking for Joe Carroll. Williamson said this time around the show will focus less on the FBI and the “chase.”
However, Caroll didn’t die at the end of last season. So we can assume Ryan and the authorites will pursue him in some fashion.
There will also be a few story lines to look forward to this season. Like what has happened to Emma (Valerie Curry) and Mike (Shawn Ashmore) since we last saw them and a look into Ryan’s love life.
“The Following” returns this January on FOX.
