Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle is reportedly upset with his demotion from the starting lineup and left the Cowboys' facility abruptly after finding out the news, according to David Moore of the Dallas News.
There have been reports that there is more behind Randle's depature then just losing his starting position, according to ESPN's Todd Archer.
The Cowboys said Wednesday that running back Darren McFadden would be the starter this upcoming week after rushing for a 152 yards against the New York Giants last Sunday. Randle's status remains uncertain, as he is day-to-day with an oblique strain, according to NFL reporter Jeremy Bergman.
Randle is reportedly expected to return to the Cowboys' facility Thursday for practice. The Cowboys running back reportedly left the facility on Wednesday and couldn't be found for his scheduled treatment. Sources have stated that Randle left Valley Ranch to clear his head with people he trusted, according to Moore.
Randle had taken over as the starting running back after the departure of DeMarco Murray during the offseason. Randle had started the first six games for the Cowboys this season, but head coach Jason Garrett is looking for McFadden to pick up where he left off last week.
Randle has rushed for 315 yards this season and scored four touchdowns but has yet to have a 100-plus yard rushing game this season. Back in week three, Randle looked to be finding his way as the Cowboys starter, as he rushed for 87 yards with three touchdowns. But in the past three games since then, Randle has just managed 112 yards on 28 carries. Expect Randle to come out fired up this upcoming Sunday, as he will look to make the most of his carries. The Cowboys have a difficult test this Sunday, as the Seattle Seahawks come to Dallas looking to gain ground in their division. The Cowboys are 2-4 this season and will need a strong running game if they want to get a win over Seattle Sunday.
