James Franco just got a bizarre new tattoo on his neck. The 37-year-old actor shared of picture of himself on his Instagram account that featured a tattoo portrait of "Harry Potter" actress Emma Watson.
"I heart Hermonie," Franco captioned the picture of his new ink that had the name Emma written under her face. The "Pineapple Express" actor also tagged tattoo artist Cheyenne Randall, the man responsible for the fake tattoo of Franco's "This Is the End" co-star.
Randall is an artist who photoshop's elaborate tattoos onto some of history's most well-known and iconic actors, according to Vanity Fair. The friendship between Randall and Franco started after the actor took notice of the artist's work when he posted a picture of Franco with a fake Lana Del Rey tattoo on his neck, much like the Watson tattoo. After Franco saw the photo, he reached out to Randall for help on a future project. Franco sent over a picture of himself to the artist and requested a hypothetical girlfriend tattoo for a "character" and for it to be somewhere prominent on his body.
"I had just recently watched that end of the world movie with Franco, and she's in it, so I just picked her," Randall said of the Watson tattoo. "It was random."
"This Is the End" was released in 2013 and made $126 million at the box office, according to Box Office Mojo. The R-rated comedy also starred Seth Rogan, Jonah Hill, Jay Baruchel and Craig Robinson.
