NBC Sets Premiere Dates For ‘Telenovela’ And ‘Superstore,’ SyFy Orders Van Helsing Series And More TV News

NBC will preview its midseason comedies "Telenovela" and "Superstore" early, paired with live episodes of "The Voice."

The first two episodes of "Superstore," a workplace comedy starring America Ferrera, will air on Monday, Nov. 30 at 10 p.m. The next week, back-to-back episodes of "Telenovela," starring Eva Longoria as the star of a hit Spanish soap opera, will broadcast on Monday, Dec. 7 at the same time.

"We're extremely excited about 'Superstore' and are so fortunate to have the incredibly talented America Ferrera, who won over the hearts of viewers and critics in 'Ugly Betty,' coming to NBC as a producer and star. She's joined by a terrific ensemble in a comedy set in a location everyone in the country can really relate to," NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke said.

She continued, "We are also over the moon to have the incomparable 'desperate housewife' Eva Longoria producing and starring in 'Telenovela,' which we love. Her tour-de-force performance as Ana Sofia, the demanding but vulnerable star of a larger-than-life telenovela, is hilarious."

Both comedies will have their official launch on Monday, Jan. 4 at 8 p.m. starting with "Superstore" followed by "Telenovela" at 8:30 p.m. on NBC.
