The Miss International 2015 beauty pageant took place at the Grand Prince Hotel in Tokyo, Japan on Thursday and Miss Venezuela Edymar Martinez was crowned the winner of the competition, which had representatives from 70 countries and regions participating, according to the Daily Mail.
"What I'm feeling is the best feeling ever. Venezuela, we did it!" Martinez said, sharing her happiness, according to The Reporter Times.
Miss International 2014, Valerie Hernandez from Puerto Rico, passed the crown to the contest's winner. There was stiff competition, especially in the national costume round, with women donning outfits inspired by their home country, including Miss India's Taj Mahal-inspired outfit and Miss USA's skin-tight astronaut catsuit.
