Cameron Diaz's first book, "The Body Book: The Law of Hunger, the Science of Strength, and Other Ways to Love Your Amazing Body," did so well, and even made The New York Times' best seller list, that she decided to write a sequel.
The first book focused on the integral relationship between mind, body, fitness and nutrition, and the second book, which will be called "The Longevity Book," will expand on that theme and focus on the natural progression of aging, according to E! News. Several readers sent in questions about the aging process of a female body following the first book, allowing Diaz to come up with enough answers to write a whole new volume.
For "The Body Book," she featured full-length photos of fans underneath the hardcover's paper jacket, but this time, she's asking fans to send in candid selfies, similar to the one she posted of herself, for a chance to be one of the 50 women included on "The Longevity Book's" cover.
"It is centered around the mental, physical and emotional journey of aging," Diaz, 43, wrote on her site, underneath her flawless and natural selfie. "And as we diligently put the finishing touches on the book, we'd like to ask for your help once more. This book is for you and about you and that's why we'd like to see you on the cover. Much like the cover of the 'Body Book,' under the jacket, were featured women of all different shapes, sizes, builds and ethnicities. We would like for you to feel represented again, this time to show where you are in your process of aging. So we invite you to take a picture of yourself...So be yourself with it, be brave with it, have fun with it, and we can't wait to see."
The selfies must be against a plain background and as high-def as you can get them for best results. The whole idea is to see your beautiful face this time, and the best part about this is you can take one by yourself, or with multiple generations in your family to express different journeys of aging. Check out the entry policies here! You have until Nov. 20 to send in your best selfie. The book will be released sometime in April.
