Remember that scene in Bambi where Bambi finds himself sliding all over the frozen pond, down on his tummy, scrambling to get back up only to slide some more? Poor Bambi. Well, life imitated art when a deer crashed through the window of Henley Middle School in Crozet, near Charlottesville, Va., according to 6 ABC. The sweet deer was stranded, flailing for a little more than a minute on the school's slickly polished floors, just like in the 1942 Disney classic movie "Bambi."
"You never know what you may find at Henley Middle School, those floors sure are slippery," said Albemarle County Public Schools who posted the video, reported UPI.
Luckily, teachers and students were out for the day, with professional development training, so the school was just about empty.
One staff member who spotted the distressed deer approached it slowly and while holding its back legs was able to slide the deer gently to the door to set the wild animal free, according to The Daily Mail.
Scary moment for the deer indeed, who found himself recreating the Disney scene for the school's video cameras. But thanks to the rescuer, the deer is unharmed and back out in the wild where it belongs.
