The first trailer for Disney-Pixar's sequel to its mega-successful 2003 film "Finding Nemo" has finally arrived. "Finding Dory" sees the return of Dory, Marlin and Nemo as they look for answers about Dory's past and her family.
The first trailer starts out six months after the events of "Finding Nemo" with Dory sleep swimming and talking, which leads Marlin and Nemo to wake up. When Dory wakes herself up, she exclaims that she remembers something from her past. The revelations lead her, Marlin and Nemo on a new exciting adventure.
"I remembered something. That's not possible, is it?" Dory asks Marlin.
The trailer debuted Tuesday morning on the YouTube channel for "The Ellen Show." Ellen DeGeneres returns as the voice of the fish Dory who suffers from short-term memory loss. Albert Brooks is also back as the worrisome clown fish, Marlin. "Finding Dory" also features the voice talents of Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy - who play Dory's parents - Katlin Olson, Idris Elba, Dominic Westand and "Modern Family" stars Ed O'Neill and Ty Burrell.
The film is directed by Pixar veteran Andrew Stanton, who retunrns to directing animated films after his venture into live action, "John Carter," bombed at the box office, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Yesterday, the first poster for the film was released, as HNGN previously reported, and like the trailer, it asks fans of the original film to "Just keep swimming" toward "Finding Dory."
"Finding Dory" is due in theaters June 2016.
