Samsung's new Galaxy S7, which rumors indicate will be unveiled early next year, is slowly taking shape in the minds of fans as more details continue to emerge each day. The most recent of these includes leaked information that points to a massive 20 megapixel camera.
The leak information was first posted in Twitter and was promptly reported by Techno Buffalo. The 20MP shooter will purportedly be powered by a technology that supports RAW, Pro mode and other options that could also include a new video recorder feature.
When an image is in RAW file format, it means that it underwent little image processing, making it possible to edit the photo without losing much of its original quality. Samsung, however, can no longer claim a pioneering position in this area as LG and HTC devices are already offering RAW support.
Another notable rumor being floated around involves the supposed price tag for the S7. There is the possibility that it will be sold at a cheaper price point - 10 percent less to be exact - according to Pan Jiutang, a China-based analyst, in a report from the Times of India.
So far, these details have added to what the tech community knows so far: that the S7 might be powered by several processors that include the Spandragon 820 and two Exynos chipsets, as HNGN previously reported. Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy S7 in January or early February.
