Sleeping with the enemy - but how much of an enemy? This week's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." ended with Phil Coulson and ATCU leader Rosalind Price spending the night together, but any relationship seems doomed from the start since Rosalind is working with Hydra baddie, Gideon Malick, who wants Coulson delivered to him ASAP.
So does Price (Constance Zimmer) know Gideon's (Powers Boothe) true intentions for the S.H.I.E.L.D. director (Clark Gregg) and that he's working with S.H.I.E.L.D. enemy No. 1 - Grant Ward (Brett Dalton)?
"That's a good question," executive producer Jed Whedon teased Entertainment Weekly. "We know that Coulson is sleeping with the enemy - how much of an enemy she is and how far it'll go before he starts to suspect something, those are still questions left to be answered."
Her connection to Gideon also puts in doubt the research being done on the ATCU's captured Inhumans.
"An institution possibly working under Hydra who's amassing a group of Inhumans, it sounds like a formula for disaster," executive producer Maurissa Tancharoen told EW.
Rosalind and Inhuman S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Daisy (Chloe Bennet) both saw a different perspective of the good and bad Inhumans could offer. Daisy saved Rosalind's life with her powers, but she also saw what happens when an Inhuman, in this case Andrew (Blair Underwood)/Lash, can't control what they do.
The promo for next week's episode shows Coulson grilling Rosalind about who she really is, who she's really working for, what's she's hiding. Otherwise, he won't let her out of their containment room.
Tune in for a new "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." on Tuesday at 9 p.m. on ABC.
