Bravo's successful series "The Real Housewives" is about to get bigger. Today it was announced that the show was adding two more swanky destinations to popular series. In 2016, "The Real Housewives of Potomac" and "The Real Housewives of Dallas" will premiere on the network.
The Potomac, Md. edition of the shows came as more of a surprise than Dallas, Texas, but the high-class picturesque suburban town was once named CNN Money's most affluent town in America in 2013, and with a population of just under 45,000 people, it's the biggest city in America to boast a median income of over $240,000, according to the New York Daily News. The series will star Gizelle Bryant, Katie Rost, Karen Huger, Charrisse Jackson-Jordan, Robyn Dixon and Ashley Darby, "all of whom have fought for their places in this society by way of legacy or marriage," Executive Producer Andy Cohen said in a press release.
"The Real Housewives of Dallas" was rumored to be in development at Bravo for years, according to the Daily Mail. Bravo has not yet announced the cast for the Dallas location, but the show "follows a group of sophisticated southern socialites, as they claw their way to the top of the city's social scene. The series gives an exclusive look into their glamorous galas, scintillating scandals, and enormous egos, to prove exactly why everything is bigger in Texas," according to Us weekly.
"'The Real Housewives of Potomac' is the show you never saw coming, and it's going to take everyone by surprise!," Cohen said in a statement. "As for 'The Real Housewives of Dallas,' it's a natural extension of the franchise with a Southern twist that y'all will enjoy."
The Real Housewives Of Potomac premieres on Bravo on Sunday, Jan. 17 at 9 p.m. EST/8 p.m. CT and "The Real Housewives of Dallas" will premiere later in 2016.
