'RHOC': Brooks Ayers Was Not Treated For Cancer At City Of Hope, Spokesperson Says

Brooks Ayers, the ex-boyfriend of "Real Housewives of Orange County" star Vicki Gunvalson, might have landed himself in hot water as the hospital where he said he had treatment for his cancer has denied that he was a patient there.

Ayers has publicly insisted that he received treatment for cancer at City of Hope, but a spokesperson for the hospital has said that it "has not provided any cancer treatment to anyone by the name of David Brooks Ayers," according to People.

Ayers recently took part in a sit-down interview equipped with medical documents, including one that has the logo of the City of Hope, to prove any doubters wrong regarding his cancer diagnosis.

"These are the three bills that reference the days I got my treatment," Ayers said to Melanie Bromley of "E! News," even presenting a bill for a chemo treatment that cost $33,000, according to E! Online.

"I'm not going to say I'm in remission. That's not going to be the case until my numbers have normalized and that's the word that was used to me."

Ayers continued: "I have more tests coming up in two months. I go back every 90 days. I don't get a scan every 90 days, but I get blood work done every 90 days."

Ayers' diagnosis of stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma was revealed on the reality show in January, according to the Daily Mail U.K.

Both Ayers and Gunvalson have been in the hot seat regarding the former's diagnosis, with most of the latter's co-stars saying that Ayers is spouting lies. "My gut tells me he doesn't have it," Gunvalson eventually confessed during the reunion, according to Us Weekly.
