The home side crushed England by six wickets in the first ODI played at the same venue on Monday, according to BBC News. Mohammad Hafeez's brilliant century helped Pakistan reach a modest score of 216 set by visitors.
Hafeez dedicated his century to veteran batsman Younis Khan, who had earlier announced his retirement from ODI cricket.
"I want to dedicate this hundred to Younis who has been a role model for all of us. We want to win it for him and I am happy to have contributed in this win," he said during a post-match event, according to AFP.
England's skipper Eoin Morgan said that his side was determined to bounce back in the series.
"We could have done with another 30 minimum and possibly 280, but it is the first time in two series that we have underperformed with the bat. It was a poor day but we have to pick ourselves up and get back in the series and we are determined to do that," he said while blaming batsmen for the defeat, according to Express.
