Dixie Chicks Announce First U.S. Tour In 10 Years (VIDEO)

The Dixie Chicks are headed back to the U.S. for their first tour in about a decade.

The Grammy-winning country band has announced that they will be starting off their DCX MMXVI World tour in the U.S. on June 1, 2016 in Cincinnati, just a few months after the European leg of the tour begins in April, according to USA Today. They will be visiting more than 40 cities, including major markets like New York, Chicago and Dallas, and will end the tour on Oct. 10, 2016 in Los Angeles.

The Dixie Chicks consist of Natalie Maines, Emily Robison and Martie Maguire. Their last album was "Taking the Long Way" in 2006, which won album of the year at the Grammys that year. Its hit single "Not Ready to Make Nice" also took home two awards that night for song and record of the year.

"Just when you thought you were safe, America, we're back," Maines says in a 15-second announcement clip from the band, according to Entertainment Weekly. "It's been 10 years since we toured the U.S."

"There's no telling what will happen when the Dixie Chicks return to North America next summer for the DCX MMXVI World Tour!" the caption on their Facebook reads. "Be the very first to get tickets by joining the all new MMXVI Tour Club. Share & comment to show your excitement for the return of the Chicks!"
