Michael Phelps And Fiancée Nicole Johnson Expecting A Baby Boy (PHOTO)

Michael Phelps and fiancée Nicole Johnson are expecting their first baby together. The 30-year-old Olympic swimmer and Miss California USA 2010 made the announcement on social media earlier today and could not be more excited to be having a baby boy.

"We found out 8weeks ago we were expecting," Phelps wrote alongside a photo of the two holding up a tiny Speedo. "Today we're over 12 weeks and it looks like we're having a boy!!! #lifeabouttochange."

Johnson, 31, then posted the same photo and wrote, "Today marks 12 weeks and 4 days of us having a little one and yesterday we learned we're having a BOY! We couldn't be happier."

The two have been dating on and off since 2007 and just got engaged this past February, according to E! News. They made this announcement in a very similar fashion when Phelps posted an adorable photo of the two in the snow, simply writing, "She said yes."

Phelps, who has won 18 gold medals and 22 overall, has had a tough past couple of years as he was arrested for DUI in September 2014, which then led to his suspension from the USA swim team and left him no choice but to check into a rehab facility. While this was a major setback in his career, he has been working hard towards maintaining sobriety until after the 2016 Olympics in Rio. He had retired after the 2012 games, but later made the decision to come back, and the whole experience has been life changing.

"Before I even went to court, I said to myself that I'm not going to drink until after Rio — if I ever drink again," he said, according to Page Six. "That was a decision I made for myself. I'm being honest with myself. Going into 2008 and 2012, I didn't do that. I didn't say I was going to take a year off from drinking and not have a drink... If I'm going to come back, I need to do this the right way. I've got to put my body in the best physical shape I can possibly get it in. Is it a challenge? No. I go to bed earlier. I sleep more. I wake up every day and have a completely clear head. I don't feel like my head went through a brick wall. There are so many positives to that."
