When we last left Oliver (Stephen Amell) he was—oh yeah—in the midst of a S.W.A.T. team with guns pointed at him and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) standing in the middle of them confident as ever.
I don’t know about you, but when we return next week I expect him to throw down a smoke grenade and take all of the guys out somehow. However, according to some comments Amell recently made to EOnline, my theory may be totally wrong.
"People are asking me to lower my bow, and that's how we pick up episode three," he told the website. "And that's what I do, I lower my bow, and I'm not the Arrow. And it's not good. I'm in big trouble."
No, that can’t be right. If he does all of those things then everyone will know his identity and the show will never be the same—unless he’s learned the art of compulsion from his fellow CW characters on “The Originals” or “The Vampire Diaries”. (Something that I highly doubt.)
Amell also recently told EOnline that someone would soon learn his secret. However, he said fans wouldn’t’ expect this person to find out. I’m guessing most people would expect Laurel to discover the secret.
Therefore, Oliver has to get out of this somehow. My guess is this will be where the Black Canary comes in. I’m not sure how she would save him and I don’t think I really care. Amell recently tweeted a photo of the Black Canary and the Vigilante together. Maybe Oliver’s current predicament is why they meet.
“Arrow” airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on The CW.
