The animal kingdom is not safe from excruciatingly slow DMV workers in the new trailer for Disney's "Zootopia." The preview for the film, audiences are introduced to the characters played by Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman and Idris Elba.
In "Zootopia," animals have evolved with human-like behavior and live in a world where sloths are DMV workers and rabbits are Police Officers. The film centers on a fox named Nick (Bateman) who is framed for a crime that he did not commit. Hot on his trail is a rabbit cop named Judy (Goodwin). With only 48 hours for Judy to solve the case, the two team up when they discover they share a common enemy.
In the trailer, Nick and Judy have to run a license plate at the "Department of Mammal Vehicles" where they meet a sloth named Flash. The worker helps them run the plate, but it takes a lot longer than they initially planned.
The film is directed by Byron Howard and Rich Moore, whose hits include "Wreck-It Ralph" and "Tangled," according to the Wall Street Journal. "Zootopia" also features the voice talents of J.K. Simmons, Octavia Spencer, Bonnie Hunt, Jenny Slate, Tommy Chong, and Shakira.
"Zootopia" opens in theatres on March 4.
