TLC's Chilli Says She Will 'Always Love' Usher; 'Crazy, Sexy Cool' Producer Confirms 'Confessions' Was NOT About Their Relationship?

Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas of the girl group TLC is speaking about the misconceptions about her past relationship with singer Usher.

Usher skyrocketed to fame with his album "Confessions" in 2004, which went certified diamond by selling more than 10 million copies. Many thought his failed two-year relationship with Chilli was the inspiration behind his hit records.

However, Chili confirms those speculations were false and Usher was faithful to her during their time as a couple. Chilli ended their relationship ended in 2003.

"We were together when he recorded that album," Chilli told Us Weekly. "All of those songs on Confessions, that was about Jermaine Dupri's situation. Usher was just singing it. But people kind of bought into it, it was just the timing of our breakup when the album came out."

"So people assumed that album was about us, but it was not," she continued. "And Usher and I weren't oil and water. We broke up because I guess it was that time or whatever," she added, "he was that real love for me."

Chilli told US Weekly she knew it was time for her to move on from her relationship with Usher, though it broke her heart. The TLC member said she will "always love" Usher because he was her first "adult love."

"But I'll always love him, forever, because he was my first adult love, a real love," she said. "But we're cool, we're really cool. There's no hard feelings, nothing like that. It's all good."

Chilli also added she was not involved in Usher's divorce of stylist Tameka Foster in 2007. She claims she was "far away" from the situation; their relationship hasn't been romantic since their break up and Usher began dating Foster.

Chilli and Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins produced their girl group's biopic for VH1 titled "Crazy, Sexy Cool: The TLC Story," which aired on Sunday, Oct. 20. Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopes died in 2002 in a car crash. The movie stars rapper Lil Mama as Left-Eye, KeKe Palmer as Chilli, and Drew Sidora as T-Boz.
