CBS adds a little more funny to the midseason schedule with a new block of comedy on Wednesdays followed by two intense hours of "Criminal Minds" drama. The network announced its 2016 midseason schedule on Monday.
"Mike & Molly" will premiere its sixth season alongside "2 Broke Girls" for a one-hour block of comedy on Wednesdays starting Jan. 6 at 8 p.m.
After the "Code Black" season finale on Feb. 24, the rest of Wednesday night will be all "Criminal Minds" when the new spinoff, "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders," premieres on March 2 at 10 p.m.
"Angel from Hell," starring Jane Lynch, will fill the 9:30 p.m. void on Thursdays, beginning Jan. 7. "The Odd Couple" will return for its second season on April 7 at 8:30 p.m., following the season finale of "Life in Pieces."
CBS will also premiere new seasons of its unscripted shows "Undercover Boss," "The Amazing Race" and "Survivor."
The fifth (and possibly final) season of "Person of Interest" was left off the schedule. The network ordered a shortened 13-episode season in May of the procedural starring Michael Emerson and Jim Caviezel.
