Stella Maxwell was born in Belgium and grew up in New Zealand where she was discovered as a model. The blonde bombshell grew up watching the "Victoria's Secret Fashion Show," and although she never really thought of modeling as a career, the moment she did her first photo shoot, she was hooked. Maxwell has a unique style that makes her stand out from the rest and a pout that even Kylie Jenner would be jealous of, but it's her cool and laid-back attitude that makes her one of the realest models out there.
She has walked many high-fashion runways from Jeremy Scott to Marc Jacobs, and she first walked the VS runway in 2014. She officially became a VS Angel this year, so we will be seeing her wear the iconic and gorgeous wings during Tuesday night's show. Here are five things you need to know about the 24-year-old beauty before you tune into CBS tomorrow night to watch the lingerie-filled night.
1. She was discovered on the street
"I was actually in New Zealand studying and I just got discovered," she told Vogue.. "I was on the street with my friend, we were shopping, and this woman came up to me and was like, 'Would you like to come in? I own an agency. We can just talk about things.' And that's kind of how it all happened. After my first shoot, I actually just really enjoyed it and I got into it and I think it kind of just spurred me to think about it more as like a career."
2. She would enjoy acting
Maxwell looks at her photo shoots as acting auditions, and it helps her get into character and produce the best possible photos. "Modeling for me, I find that it's like acting," she continued to tell Vogue. "So if I feel sexy in my underwear, I can perform because I wear the clothes, I have the hair and makeup, I just open up."
When asked if she would ever go into acting, she told Glamour Magazine that she "would love to." "I think it would be very specific to the role," she added. "And if it felt like I had progressed and felt connected to a role in particular, I would love to, yes."
3. Becoming an Angel was "epic"
Once she finally got into modeling, she knew she one day wanted to model for Victoria's Secret. "I've grown up watching the brand and I've looked up to the girls," she continued to tell Glamour. "I see how special it is and how family-oriented it is, specifically how it looks after the girls and it's something you can always dream about as a model."
When she found out she had become an Angel, she was "emotional and overwhelmed" because it was like a dream come true for her. "They choose the sexiest girls and they have the sexiest lingerie," she told Vogue. "You grow up watching it. Every girl's just amazing, every year. To do it, I couldn't be happier."
"I just started smiling when I first found out," she told Yahoo! Style. "My agent called me, and I had no idea that that was coming. I had been working with VS a little bit, but I just wasn't really expecting...you know, it's kind of a surreal thing; I think any girl would say the same. None of us feel like we're good enough for it, but we're lucky enough to have it. So I was just shocked; it was surreal, and I just kind of went home and I lay on my bed and just started smiling. I was just so happy about it."
She also told Refinery 29 that going from just being a Victoria's Secret model to an Angel is a huge difference. "Once they announce it, things change, because it's an accomplishment," she explained. "It gives you a new title and status within the brand. "They really promote you within the brand, so they focus on promoting your own personality. I could definitely feel the difference in responsibility. You can feel them putting more importance on certain key pieces, and you get to do amazing shoots with the best photographers and top models in this industry. It's all pretty epic."
4. She might have dated Miley Cyrus
This past summer, news broke that Maxwell and Cryus were reportedly dating after Cyrus had opened up about her bisexuality, as HNGN previously reported. There were a few photos of the two hanging out on their Instagram pages and friends of Cyrus said that they had been spending time together and been dating for months. "They hold hands and hug and are very comfortable together," a source said. "They're definitely together."
In an interview with V Magazine, Maxwell never confirmed that there was anything romantic going on between the two, but she did say that it was "friendship at first sight" and that it felt "very organic and right."
It's unclear if the two were ever officially dating or not, because when asked about the relationship in August, Cyrus downplayed the "girlfriend" title. "I'm 22, I'm going on dates, but I change my style every two weeks, let alone who I'm with," she told Elle U.K. "I'm very open about it; I'm pansexual. But I'm not in a relationship."
5. She loves to be outside
"I've started surfing and I go on hikes and I like to do anything outdoors," Maxwell told Glamour. "I really like little adventures."
"I really like hanging out on the beach and all the hiking and opportunities and things you can do outside," she told Yahoo! Style of being in L.A. on her days off. "I love being outside; I love being n nature and exercising like that."
The 2015 "Victoria's Secret Fashion Show" airs Tuesday Dec. 8 on CBS at 10 p.m. ET.
