Fans of the "Wonder Woman" series can look forward to live-action film revolving around their favorite female heroine, but don't expect her name to be in the title of the movie.
Creators are planning the "Wonder Woman" film under the Justice League umbrella, according to ToonZone. Producer James Tucker said the decision came down to sales numbers for films:
"They'd have to have a movie out and it'd have to do really, really, really, really REALLY well for them to go back to that. You just never know. It hasn't happened yet. But I would be all for it. As far as what we're doing, we'll probably do a Wonder Woman-centered Justice League movie. We'll use the Justice League as an umbrella to focus on characters who might not be able to support DVDs of their own.
"That's not my judgment, that's based on sales. But yeah, we'll handle Wonder Woman in our own way, regardless of whether they'll do a movie or not. I like her as a character and want to feature her as much as we can. But it will probably be in the context of a Justice League movie."
There is no set date for the "Wonder Woman" movie, but fans may possible see her in the upcoming "Batman vs. Superman" film.
Variety reports Greg Silverman, Warner Bros.' president of creative development and worldwide production, dodged rumors about Wonder Woman's appearance in the Zack Snyder film. By not addressing the rumors directly, many are speculating about the possible appearance in the movie.
"We have been doing a lot of thinking for years about how to best use all those characters and we love them," Silverman said. "Wonder Woman is an amazing character. I think it's a great opportunity both for box office success, but also to have an amazingly powerful female superhero."
"We are taking it all very seriously and are trying to do a plan that's respectful to those characters and maximizes the stories as best they can," Silverman said, referring to whether or not Wonder Woman will appear in the series. "So everything that has been speculated are things that we've thought about."
