Jessica Capshaw is adding to her already big family. The "Grey's Anatomy" star announced on Monday that she is expecting her fourth child.
Capshaw shared the exciting news on Instagram in a sweet family photo with her husband, Christopher Gavigan, and their three children - son Luke Hudson, 8 and daughters Eve Augusta, 5, and Poppy James, 3.
"The holidays have certainly arrived... All of our lives are being added to by the lights, music and the cheer!! This year our family has reason to further broaden our smile... baby number four is on the way!! I am a lucky, lucky girl," the 39-year-old actress captioned the photo taken while shopping for a Christmas tree.
The next question that comes when all working TV actresses are expecting: Will Capshaw's pregnancy cause her character Arizona to reconsider having her own child?
Arizona suffered a miscarriage last season on "Grey's Anatomy" and divorced her wife Callie (Sara Ramirez). She has since played the field among the Seattle lesbian community.
Creator Shonda Rhimes always works with her actresses to either incorporate or hide their pregnancies. Sarah Drew had her pregnancy added into her character April Kepner's story on "Grey's Anatomy," while her co-star Ellen Pompeo hid her baby bump behind files and other high surfaces. On "Scandal," Kerry Washington hid her pregnancy with oversized purses and coats.
"Grey's Anatomy" will return with new episodes on Thursday, Feb. 11 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
