Scandal Season 3 Spoilers: Fitz Has a Showdown With Olivia's Other Love; Jake and Huck Will be an Effective and Dysfunctional Team

I know Rowan is devastatingly powerful but I sure wouldn’t want to go up against a team of Huck (Guillermo Diaz) and Jake (Scott Foley).

In last night’s episode the two former B6-13 agents got together to try to convince Olivia (Kerry Washington) to help them take down her father.

According to TVGuide.com, Jake and Huck will have some issues trying to defeat Rowan (Joe Morton)—and it won’t just be because he is an extremely formidable foe.

"It's such a tricky situation because it's her dad. If it wasn't her dad, we'd kill him a lot easier," Diaz told the website. "They work really well together, but they still have all these problems with each other. They don't want to like each other, but they do. I think the audience is going to like them together."

I’m convinced that even if Rowan wasn’t Olivia’s father, killing him would still be extremely difficult. Rowan has proven that his psychological hold over Huck and Jake is significant. Also, Huck has already failed to pull the trigger. Will Rowan be able to manipulate Jake and Huck once more?

Olivia’s dad may use what he knows about his former operatives to manipulate them but according to Foley, Jake and Huck have some tricks of their own.

"We're going to see Huck and Jake use not just collective skills, but their history to try to take out Rowan and B6-13," Foley said. "It's really a dark cloud hanging over both their lives preventing them from moving forward. It's a delicate matter because of who Rowan is."

Many fans are anticipating Jake and Huck’s showdown with Rowan. However, there may be a showdown they’re anticipating more—Jake vs. Fitz (Tony Goldwyn).

Foley recently told EOnline, Olivia’s two loves are going to come face-to-face in the near future. However, Foley also told the website that fans will not get an actual flashback to when Fitz and Jake were together in the Navy.

"We have not seen that so far," he told EOnline. "We're on episode nine and we haven't seen it yet."

“Scandal” airs Sunday at 10/9c on ABC.
