Heidi Montag: Father Bill Montag Pleads Not Guilty in Sexual Abuse Case Involving Minor

Heidi Montag's father, Bill Montag, has entered a not guilty plea for charges of sexual abuse of a minor, according to Us Weekly. Bill Montag's attorney, Forrest W. Lewis, told the publication that the "case is set for trial."

"He did turn in a not guilty plea, the case is set for trial," Lewis said. "It's probably going to be continued in late spring, early summer. That's all I can say right now."

In January, Bill Montag was arrested in Aspen, Colo., on charges of child sex abuse and incest after the alleged victim came forward. As previously reported by HNGN, the alleged incident occurred more than 15 years ago.

A 29-page affidavit filed in Arapahoe County claimed Bill Montag began abusing the victim in 1993 when she was only 13-years-old. The abuse reportedly continued until the victim was 17. The complaint claimed that Bill Montag abused the child at least 50 times, according to Denver's Channel 9 News.

Documents stated that Bill "groomed" his alleged victim with "back rubs in her bedroom in the basement of her home" and also attempted to insert a vibrator into her vagina. Bill Montag reportedly began performing oral sex on his then-16-year-old victim, according to TMZ.

Due to a statute of limitations, Bill Montag can only be charged with incidents that occurred after July 1, 1996. A source told Us Weekly that the rumors were "all coming from an estranged family member with ulterior motives. Heidi doesn't believe any of it."
