California Highway Patrol arrested a school bus driver on suspicion of drunken driving and 28 counts of child endangerment last week, according to the Huffington Post. The Napa Valley Unified School District school bus driver was driving 28 students in Napa County to their homes when arrested.
CHP Officer Marc Respurger said officers received multiple reports of a school bus blocking a road in Napa County, according to Contra Costa Times. The calls about the school bus blocking Old Sonoma Road, south of Buhman Road, came in around 3:45 p.m.
Jaquida Parker of Vallejo, the school bus driver, had tried to turn the bus around, but it had gotten stuck. The road is in the unincorporated Napa County, according to FOX News.
Parker, 24, failed a sobriety test at the scene. Napa Valley Unified School District officials said none of the 28 students were injured, according to NBC Los Angeles.
